Why does my five-week-old litter of kittens (mom and kittens are kept in my bathroom) sometimes pee on the floor and sometimes in their litterbox?

You actually answered your own question there. They are only 5 weeks old! Yes, cats pretty much come house trained, but kittens will be kittens. They are still babies. As they get older, and also as they watch their Mama, they will learn quickly and will no longer go on the floor.
Also, make sure the litter box is low enough on its sides so that it's easy for them to get into. If the sides are even a little bit too high and it takes effort to get into it, they will get lazy sometimes. If the sides are too high, try putting something next to the box so that they can use it as a step-up. They will soon start playing on this step-up and will use it more and more for getting into the litter box.
Hello,
Can they climb in the box? Sometime the box is to high for them to get over. I worked for a Veterinarian for over 27 years and we always used a smaller box to train them. Good luck.
