Here is some information that might be helpful. It looks like there are two plants names that are both called "Tractor Seat" plants. Ligularia and Farfugium. Both of these are part of the Asteraceae family and look to be closely related.

Tried several times to grow tractor seat from seeds but to no avail is there a particular way to grow these plants
My understanding is some are hybrids and those seeds are sterile. These can be propagated by root division. I don't know which plants are hybrids/sterile, though. The seeds only get planted 1/16" deep and must be kept moist to germinate so possibly covering the pot with a plastic baggie to hold moisture and humidity in.
