Why not put a bag in the freezer for a couple of days and see what happens then post the results.
Yes, potato chips can be frozen in their original bags in order to retain their freshness. Good luck.
Yes, they keep very well. I use to do this years ago and always had chips for the kiddoes lunches.
You mean you can keep them around long enough to freeze them?
I don't know how well that will work if freezer burn or ice crystals. You can always re-crisp stale chips in a slow oven, 180 for 10 mins. Otherwise, might suggest stocking up on chips on sales, esp. at WalMart around high seasons, like Super Bowl, etc., and they will keep unopened at room temp just fine for at least 3 months or far more if unopened.
They dont get freezer burn or ice crystals they just stay fresh foreve and taste way better
I have been putting my bag of potato chips in the freezer for years. I learned this from my mother. They do not get rock hard frozen. They just stay nice and cold and very FRESH. They taste great right from the freezer.
Yes and I do it all the time. Just do not open them until you want to eat them. I never open any chips and then freeze them.
