Making One Larger Bandage

Gold Post Medal for All Time! 969 Posts

I often have a wound that is larger than the pad of the standard bandage. To make the pad cover the wound, I simply cut off one bandages adhesive part, then lay it down on another bandage with the pads touching. The pad is big enough to cover the wound, and one adhesive side can be folded up under the one you wrap around the finger.

This helps with wounds on flatter surfaces like a leg, cheek or arm, when you don't have to worry about the bandage meeting itself, like on a finger or thumb.

I find this helps and wanted to pass it on.

Two band-aid bandages, one with one of the adhesive ends cut off and set on top of the other so that the absobant pad length is doubled for larger wounds
