Eliminating Wild Strawberries in Lawn?

I have a large number of wild strawberry plants growing in my lawn. How can I eliminate them without killing the grass?

Do you really want to get rid of wild strawberries? They are so delicious. Whole grass lawns are so yesterday. See if you can accommodate the strawberries plants.

They are not true strawberry plants and do not produce edible fruit. They are highly invasive and have taken over our entire yard. No one should "accommodate" such an invasive plant.

Personally, I do not like to eat wild strawberries, but they are not poisonous. My mother used to make Wild Strawberry wine every year and got joy just picking those little berries.

I never tasted to wine because I do not drink alcoholic beverages. Because the berries are not sweet, I cannot imagine the wine was good.
