When I am eating low fat in order to lose a few pounds of weight, I always eat a serving of something really fatty for each five pounds I lose. This seems to be the time when the body will go on a "lockdown" and will stop burning fat if the body does not get SOME fat for each five pounds or so that are lost.
So in other words, rewarding yourself for each five pounds lost is a great and productive idea.
