Low Cost Vet Services Near Dallas, TX?

My dog has had an undiagnosed lump on her side for a year. She is a nine years old and has shown no ill effects from it. She is a slightly overweight Australian cattle dog mix. She has a healthy appetite, walks 45 minutes daily, and has healthy stools.

I'm on disability and need financial assistance to seek treatment for her. Where can we seek low cost or free diagnostic tests in the north Dallas, TX area?

Our pets see a wonderful vet Dr. David Kahn at Animal Clinic of Farmers Branch located at 14021 Denton Drive in Farmers Branch. His phone number is 972-247-2221. He saved our Hendrix this spring with IV's, blood work, treatment, and injections after he had a bad infection for 100.00 and that included sending him home with 10 days worth of antibiotics.

They are very willing to let you know your options and the least possible expenses. They are lifesavers!! Hannah

Hospitals affiliated with the American Animal Hospital Association have the option, at their own choice of course, of treating animals for no charge or reduced charge. Four Vets associated with this group in Dallas are VCA Lakewood Animal Hospital, University Animal Hospital, Frankford court Animal Hospital, North Dallas Animal Hospital. Might be worth a phone call to these guys. My old fox terrier had lypomas (fatty tumors) on her back leg. The Vet said they were harmless and would just grow back if we removed them. They are common in older dogs. But of course you do need to find out to be sure. My Vet knew by looking what it was. Good luck to you. Hannahskis' Vet sound like a good one.
