Refilling Lysol Electric Soap Dispensers

I enjoy using the electric eye Lysol hand soap dispensers, but did not want to pay for the expensive refills. So, I used a one half inch spade bit drill and put a lovely hole in the top of the dispenser. I fill it up with whichever generic hand soap I find on sale and then cover the opening with clear tape. Works great and I get to enjoy using the 'hands free' soap dispenser.

Just use a butter knife to pop off the bottom cap and refill. I then refill with soap and push the cap back on. This is what I do and it works. Much more easy than drilling.

It's good to know I can remove that cap, as I was afraid to pop the cap off, for fear that it would break. I've been laboriously transferring liquid soap from a big generic refill bottle to the Lysol bottle with a 10cc syringe (minus the needle) and poking it into the hole in the cap - a time consuming and messy process.

Next time, I'll try popping the cap off!
