Fluorescent light fixture

Decorative Fluorescent Light Panels?How can I replace the plastic light panels in my ceiling without using basic cracked or white plastic panels? I have six 2 by 2 panels framed by wood. I've seen some clouds or iron designs, but they're usually for larger frames and way expensive.

Painting Glass Lamp Shades?I have white glass lamp shades on my kitchen chandelier. I want to remove them, and spray paint them a "color". My question would be, what is the best paint to use, where to purchase it, and if anyone has painted glass lamp shades with "success"?

Replacing the Glass Shades on Ceiling Fan Light Fixture?The house I moved into has a bedroom fan, the sort with 3 glass tulip sconces sticking out at 45-angles. I really dislike that feature; also, I've replaced the original bulbs with CFLs, meaning that the tulips wouldn't cover the bulbs anyway.

Drum Shade Chandelier?I like the look of the big drum shades used as chandeliers over a dining table, but don't have much money and actually haven't seen any in stores. Couldn't a regular table lamp drum shade be modified to hang as a pendant/chandelier?
