Fixing a Straw Hat?Hi ya'll! I'm the new kid on the block! And also, new to working with straw material. Lol so I would appreciate any and all help I can get! I would normally have just thrown the darn thing out, except THIS hat is so very meaningful to me. Happens to belong to my brother, who wore it for every BBQ and every Game. He just passed on Christmas to sudden illnesses. He was only 32 years old. I wanted to save this hat for my nephew to have when he gets older. Could anyone give me any advice to save this cherished item of mine? I'd greatly appreciate it!

Mark on Patent Leather Shoe?I don't think this one is a scuff mark, but I'm not sure. I accidentally rubbed my other shoe with this one and it caused a streak looking mark. When I touch it, it doesn't feel or look shiny. I know it's not that big of a deal, but I'd still like to know if there's a way to give it back that gloss in case it were to happen again. :(

I was confused why my mom had it in a large plastic bag in the basement near washing machine area. When I pulled it out of the bag, I almost cried. Repairing Childhood Blanket?My childhood blanket was used recently (well, a few months ago) as a kennel cover for a friend's puppy and my husband has left it outside in the rain since then. My grandmother made it to be able to fold into a pillow as well (hence the extra fabric piece at the bottom). There is also places missing that were there before he left it outside.
